RPE, RIR, and tracking

Learn · Get stronger

RPE (rate of perceived exertion) and RIR (reps in reserve) help you autoregulate — pushing close to, but not always to, failure. Leaving 1–3 reps in reserve on most sets manages fatigue while still driving progress. Log loads, reps, and how hard sets felt to guide the next session.
